Scoliosis is a sideways curvature of the spine that can occur in children, teens or adults. Even mild curves can lead to postural changes, muscle imbalance, joint irritation, pain, fatigue, or breathing restrictions in more advanced cases. Whether you’re just noticing a curve or you’ve had scoliosis for years, supportive chiropractic care can help you manage your spine, reduce discomfort and improve function.
We review your spinal history (when curvature was noticed, growth history, any prior orthotic or surgical interventions), posture and spinal scans, check for asymmetry, muscle imbalance, leg-length differences, joint dysfunction and any compensatory issues elsewhere in your body. Where needed, we work closely with your orthopaedic physician or specialist.
Our scoliosis-support and management programme includes:
Gentle chiropractic adjustments to assist mobility in spinal segments and reduce compensatory stress.
Targeted soft-tissue therapies and corrective exercises to address imbalances in muscle length/tension between the convex and concave sides of the curve.
Postural re-education and ergonomics, especially for children/teens (desk, screen use, carrying backpacks) and adults who may have long-standing compensation patterns.
Maintenance and monitoring: scoliosis doesn’t always resolve, but with proper care and movement you can optimise your alignment, reduce pain, support better function and slow progression.
We understand that every scoliosis case is unique — age of onset, curve severity, body type, activity level — and our care is customised accordingly. We’re not promising to “straighten everything overnight” but we are committed to supporting your spine, reducing discomfort, enhancing function and helping you manage your curve proactively.
Your first visit includes a detailed evaluation and plan. Initial phase may include 1-2 visits per week for 6-10 weeks, depending on curvature and symptoms. Maintenance may shift to monthly visits for monitoring and support. We’ll track progress via postural photos, mobility tests and your symptom improvement.
