Headaches and migraines can be more than just annoying, they can interrupt your work, your sleep and your mood. While many people assume medication is the only option, for many headaches (especially those originating from neck tension, posture issues or spinal joint dysfunction) chiropractic care offers a powerful non-drug alternative.
We’ll discuss your headache history (frequency, trigger factors, kind of pain, whether you have neck/shoulder symptoms), perform an exam of your cervical spine, upper back posture, muscle tension in the neck/shoulders, joint mobility and referral patterns. We may liaise with your physician if you have more complex migraine-type headaches.
Our headache-care plan includes:
Chiropractic adjustments in the cervical and upper thoracic spine to reduce joint stress and improve alignment.
Myofascial release and trigger-point work in the neck and shoulder muscles to reduce tension.
Posture correction, ergonomic advice (especially for screen use and driving), and stress-management techniques because muscle tension and posture are major contributors to headache frequency.
Lifestyle guidance (sleep hygiene, hydration, caffeine use, activity modification) to reduce triggers and support overall head and neck health.
Our patients tell us they appreciate the dual focus: reducing immediate headache-pain and addressing the underlying neck/upper-back dysfunction that keeps them coming back. We work alongside your physician when appropriate, but bring the musculoskeletal expertise that many headache treatments overlook.
After the evaluation, we’ll begin with sessions 1-2 times per week to reduce headache frequency and intensity. Over 4-8 weeks many patients report fewer headaches, less reliance on medication, and improved ability to engage in daily life. Then we move to a maintenance plan.
