Whiplash Treatment in Lacey

pain treatment in lacey

A car accident can happen in seconds. Your head may move forward while your body is still moving in another direction. Then it snaps back. That sudden movement can put strain on the muscles and tissues around your neck. You might feel the pain right away. Or maybe you don’t notice much until later that evening or the next morning. That delay can be frustrating.

If your neck feels stiff, turning your head hurts, or you’re dealing with headaches after a collision, getting checked can help you understand what’s going on. At Bay Center Chiropractic, the first step is an evaluation to see how the accident may have affected your movement and what type of care may be appropriate.

Recognizing Whiplash Symptoms After an Accident in Lacey

Whiplash doesn’t feel the same for everyone. Some people mainly notice neck stiffness. Others feel soreness that reaches into the shoulders or upper back.

Common symptoms can include neck pain, stiffness, headaches, muscle tenderness and trouble moving the head comfortably. You may also notice tightness around the upper back. Neck pain after car accident in Lacey is one reason people seek chiropractic care following a collision. The discomfort may seem minor at first and become more noticeable later.

Pay attention to changes in how your neck feels. Even something as ordinary as turning your head to check a blind spot can become uncomfortable when movement is limited.

Whiplash symptoms can appear after the accident rather than immediately. If you have severe pain, numbness, weakness, dizziness, loss of consciousness, or another concerning symptom, seek medical attention promptly.

How a Whiplash Chiropractor in Lacey Can Help

The first visit should start with an assessment. Guessing isn’t helpful when an injury has just happened.

  • A whiplash chiropractor in Lacey may check your neck movement, posture, and muscle tenderness.
  • Areas with pain, stiffness, or restricted movement may be examined.
  • The evaluation can help identify musculoskeletal effects related to the accident.
  • A chiropractor for whiplash in Lacey may recommend chiropractic care when appropriate.
  • Soft-tissue work, exercises, or other conservative approaches may also be considered.
  • Treatment can depend on your symptoms, mobility, and when the accident occurred.

Whiplash injuries aren’t all the same. What works for one person may not be right for another. The focus is on addressing problems that can be safely managed through chiropractic care, and helping you get back to more comfortable movement.

Why Choose Us for Whiplash Treatment in Lacey

Whiplash care starts with knowing what’s causing your discomfort. At Bay Center Chiropractic, treatment is based on your symptoms and the findings from your evaluation.

After an accident, the neck and nearby areas may need attention. Depending on your needs, care may include chiropractic adjustments, soft-tissue work, stretching, exercises, or movement guidance. Some people mainly deal with stiffness. Others find that pain makes driving, sleeping, working, or turning the head harder.

Recovery isn’t the same for everyone. Whiplash treatment in Lacey focuses on the musculoskeletal issues linked to the injury while helping you return to comfortable movement. If your symptoms call for additional medical care, that option may also be discussed.

I came here after being in a nasty car accident. Dr Jacob, super solid chiropractor and an excellent listener. If you're lucky enough you can experience the healing touch of Andi, the in-house massage therapist. The front office staff is top-notch. Do your research, but in my opinion, Lakewood Injury Chiropractic is the best place to receive care.

I love it here! Bre is absolutely amazing! She is always kind; in great spirits; and she's very personable. I was involved in a car accident while I was 35 wks pregnant and decided to come here for treatment. My adjustments and massage were all tailored to make sure I was comfortable. Now that I have delivered my baby, they watch her at the front so I can continue with treatment. Dr. Jake is amazing. There is usually a crowd, but he manages to treat us all in a timely manner without you feeling rushed. Great place to get chiropractic care.

He takes the time to explain what everything means and how he plans to help you reach a more comfortable life. I was not in an auto accident but was just needing general care/pain management.
